This was a replacement item for my last Liftmaster Professional that was over 10 years old. Although the newer model is the same horsepower configuration it is not as large as the original nor does it have lights on two sides as previous. It did correctly bolt right up to the previous brackets and connections fairly quickly. I had it up and programmed within an hour. Now about 3 weeks out and all still good.

I replaced my frozen opener with this own. It connected and bolted up with no problems. I was able to easily setup my cars on Homelink and my existing wireless keypad, although none of the instructions were exactly correct. I have not yet setup the WiFi connection because there are conflicting instructions on that as well, but I think I have figured it out be an interpolation. I gave it five stars because I am used to poor instructions. You may feel differently.

The Liftmaster was a good choice because it was the same one I had. Mine was the LiftMaster 1/3 hp but looks was the same. The only problem was that the wiring hookup the power was different. The box and paper that came with the unit did not have wiring instructions. I had to use the old trial-and-error method to get it to work. Took me an hour to figure out the wiring so that it would work. This is why I gave it a 4-star rating.

“Installation took about 3 hours from start to finish. Love the pre-programmed remotes. The major issue was that the belt shipped with my unit was a foot or so too long. I was able to un-crimp the belt and cut off a foot or so and re-crimp the belt. I doubt the average homeowner would have the tools to do the same.”

“After only experiencing chain-driven garage door openers, this one was a gem. My bedroom is over the garage and I do not hear it at all. Very quiet. I had to install it on my own which was very easy but does require a second pair of hands to mount the motor One downside is not on the actual product but the accessory. I bought this with the intent of using my Google Home Mini to open and close the garage door (more for opening the closing) but only later found out that it will not open the door via Google Home command (indicates that it cannot open it due to security reason). Other than that…great product”

“I really didn’t want to spend hours installing it so I purchased the installation from HD and it was on sale for $99.00 which was a great deal since $99.00 is worth saving me a 4-hour install which it would’ve taken me. The unit itself is very well-built. As far as quiet, if the garage door didn’t make a little noise going up and down I wouldn’t know it was the opener was even working. I like the 2 lights which I put in LED bulbs. The motion sensor is great, it turns on the second I open the door to enter the garage. The outdoor keypad is another great feature. Oh, and the MyQ is great! Not only do I know when someone opens and closes the door but I can open and close it from any place with my smartphone!”

Great communication. The team called me soon after I posted my request. They installed the GDO the very next day. Very happy with their service. My garage opener decided to die on me, and after opening my garage door by hand for about a week, the spring snapped too. I needed a garage door opener that wasn’t working and needed a replacement. Response from Fix Garage Doors CA was the same day (within hours). Called them and they provided a quote for installation and discussed options for the garage door opener. Very informative. When the technician came to replace the opener he said that there was no issue with the old one. I didn’t realize I had “locked out” the garage door from being able to use the clicker. I wanted it changed anyway because it was too old. Very considerate to let me know I didn’t have to. Did an amazing job, brought the product with him, quick installation, cleaned up the space when done and took the old one away for disposal.

Our garage door cable snapped yesterday, leaving it inoperable. I went onto the Fix Garage Doors CA website and fill out the request form.
